Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe: Every Home Should Have One

As homeowners who have raised 2 children and 5 dogs, over the past 35 years, we have come to appreciate the things that have made this process easier. One such item is a good carpet cleaner.  It helped us clean up after the kids and dogs, which made life much better.  I only wish we had made the investment much earlier.

    We bought our first cleaner back in 2003.  Fast forward 15 years and it was time for a new one, so we ended up purchasing a Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe carpet cleaner.  As cleaners go, this one has done a very good job for the money. Our first carpet cleaner was a basic model and had several disadvantages compared to the Hoover Power Scrub.

Where Other Carpet Cleaners Fail

The first disadvantage of the basic model was that it did not have any scrubbing brushes to help dislodge the dirt and grime. Having the scrub brushes versus no scrub brushes is pretty self-explanatory. It only makes sense that having the brushes, to loosen and dislodge the dirt and stains will improve the cleaning process.  The Hoover Power Scrub is definitely better at loosening dirt and stains!

     The second disadvantage was that the cleaning solution (water/cleaner mix) and the wastewater container were all in one
housing. They were separated by a thin plastic membrane. This made it hard to empty the wastewater without partially emptying
the fresh cleaning solution.

     With the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe, the cleaning solution, fresh cleaning water, and the wastewater all have their own compartments. The wastewater container can be removed separately.  Just keep the fresh water and cleaning solution compartments full and you are ready to go at a moments notice.  

Great Spot Cleaner

Not only can this cleaner be used to clean an entire room, but it’s great on spots. Let’s say your pet has an accident on the carpet. You simply pull the Hoover out of the closet and clean the spot. It sprays the solution, scrubs the area and sucks up all the nastiness. When you’re finished, you simply remove the waste water container and empty it. The remainder of the fresh water and cleaning solution can stay in the machine and it is ready for the next job, big or small.

     Now let’s say your child, or husband spills a drink on the sofa. Don’t despair! The Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe comes with a handheld attachment too. It also has the scrubbing brushes to clean upholstery, carpet on stairs and other tight spaces.

Hoover To The Rescue

We recently had a hose that started leaking on our clothes washer machine, which left us with some soggy carper. The Hoover to the rescue! Not only did it suck up the excess water, but we used it to clean up several years of dust and grime that had accumulated. The dark stains remaining was a small amount of oil from the gearbox on the washer and it even cleaned that up quite well.

     This cleaner makes cleaning up small messes very convenient, yet it is fully capable of cleaning your entire home. Having separate tanks for clean water, cleaning solution and the wastewater is a huge advantage.
